Year-End Vendor Check
Find who likely needs a 1099 for 2026, and every renewal and price increase, from your own export. Your file never leaves this browser tab.
1. Add your 2026 payments
A CSV from your bank or card (Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and most others), or a QuickBooks or Xero report. Add up to 10 files. Older months help find price increases; the 1099 count uses only the dates below.
Optional: your vendor list (answers the questions for you)
A CSV with columns like Vendor, Entity type, W-9 on file (Y/N), TIN on file (Y/N), Service or goods. Column names are flexible. Use "Attorney", "Rent" or "Royalty" in the service column where they apply.
Optional: contracts with renewal terms (finds the cancel-by date)
Paste the contract text, or choose a PDF that has selectable text. We look for auto-renewal, notice period, price increases and term dates.
Optional: add a payment that isn't in your files
For example, a contractor you paid in cash.
2. Answer a few questions
Only payees at or near the line need answers. A bank file can't show whether a payee is a corporation, or whether you paid for services or goods. Their W-9 shows the tax classification. A single-member LLC counts as a person here.
Smaller payees
Under $1,500 this year. Mark any royalties here: they count from $10.

Renewals and price increases
From every file, card files included. Finds possible leaks in your own export. A pattern is a guess from the dates and amounts, so each finding shows the charges it's based on.
Contract check
We look for common wording. We can miss clauses, and a clause can mean something different in context. Read the contract, and ask a lawyer before relying on a deadline.

How it works
What changed for 2026?
For payments made after December 31, 2025, the federal line for Form 1099-NEC (services) and Form 1099-MISC (rent and similar payments) is $2,000 paid to one payee in the year. It used to be $600. The change is in 26 U.S.C. §6041(a) and §6041A(a), made by Pub. L. 119-21 §70433. From 2027 the amount is indexed for inflation (§6041(h)); the 2027 figure isn't published yet. Royalties still count from $10 (§6050N).
The IRS regulations still show the old $600 figure because they haven't been rewritten yet; the statute controls. Your state may have its own rule.
What can't a bank file tell us?
Whether a payee is a corporation, whether you paid for services or goods, and who a check went to (most bank exports show only the check number). That's why we ask, and why every result says "likely". Card payments are left out because card processors report them on Form 1099-K. Payment-app payments are counted but flagged, because it depends on how they were sent.
How are renewals and price increases found?
We group charges by vendor and look for a regular rhythm: weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly, with amounts that stay within 15% or step up. An increase of 5% or more is marked amber, 15% or more red. The next renewal is the last charge plus the rhythm, so it's a guess: check the vendor's terms.

The only network calls this page makes are an anonymous count that a check was run (no file contents, names or amounts), our own billing service when you buy a pack, and, only if you choose a PDF, a PDF reader library from cdnjs.
